About the artist:

In 1997, Alex moved to Sonoma where she worked as an instructor and registrar at Sonoma Community Center. She says "I began teaching art classes to young and old and became the Fine Arts Director, hiring nationally known artists to teach workshops and guest lectures. During this time I found my love of teaching. The most inspired time teaching was encouraging artist and non-artists alike to find the fun in letting go, unplugging and tapping into their creative selves."

Alex initiated a strong art education program planting the seed of the arts programs we have today. Thank you, Alex for your work at SCC!
